Mass in our Parish Community

Our Parish Community

We have very strong links with the parish of St Catherine of Alexandria. Father Albert is a regular visitor to school celebrating Mass for us throughout the school year and offering the sacrament of reconciliation during advent and lent.

We also visit St Catherine’s Church throughout the year to celebrate Mass, for example for the feast of St Catherine the Patron of our school and also Ash Wednesday. Parishioners from St Catherine’s church regularly come to school to celebrate Mass with us, watch our assemblies and other celebrations of the word such as in Advent or Holy Week.

Our children regularly lead school Mass at St Catherine’s church on a Sunday, actively taking part by reading, singing and presenting the offertory gifts. Many of our children are altar servers in St Catherine’s Church.

Recently we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our school being built on its present site. Bishop Ralph and Father Albert led a celebratory Mass and we held a fair in the summer term to which all the parish and community were invited.

 17th October 2025

Twelve of our Year 6 children visited St Marie’s Catholic Cathedral in Sheffield to take part in the St Clare Trust Mass with Bishop Ralph Heskett and many other schools from our Multi Academy Trust. They participated in the mass beautifully, and some sang in the Trust Mass Choir.
